Are you Sherazad Silks of Wellington?
Essentially yes! Silks NZ is our new venture as the Wellington shop run by Dr. Anoop Bedi closed at the end of March 2014. The website is run by Anoop's daughter Biba Bedi, also owner of Four Corners Boutique Fashion Jewellery.

Is there a required minimum order size?
The Minimum cut on all fabrics is 0.20m apart from some laces which will be sold as a piece.
If you require less than 0.2m please order a swatch which is 10cm x the width of the fabric. (Surcharge applies.)

How do I add fabric to my shopping bag?
All you need to do is enter the amount of metres you would like to order. Then simply click "add to basket" and continue shopping or proceed to checkout. You can view the items in your cart at any time by clicking the shopping bag icon at the page's top right corner.

What if the item I want goes out of stock?
We will notify you as soon as possible where a fabric becomes unavailable. We will do our best to source it in a timely manner. If a fabric cannot be sourced, we will notify you and your payment will not be processed.

How can I be sure of an item's colour?
Whilst we do our best to describe an items colour, sometimes due to screen variation and different interpretations of colour descriptions it is impossible to guarantee exact colour matches. This is why we strongly recommend you order a swatch before purchasing as we don't accept returns on cut fabrics, (unless it has a clear fault.) Customers who follow this advice never regret it, and will ensure your expectations are met. If you are concerned that a fabric may become sold out by the time you receive your swatch, you can always give us a call on
03 366 0194 and ask if this is likely to happen with the fabric you are getting a swatch of.

What should I do if I receive an error message while checking out?
Please call us to notify on 03 366 0194 between the hours of Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm or leave us a message.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Internet Banking and for our Approved Wholesale Customers we can charge to account.

What if I need to modify or cancel my order after it has been placed?
Please call us straight away on 03 366 0194, and we will be more than happy to help you with your order. Customer service hours are Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm or leave us a message.

What if I choose the wrong shipping option?
Don't worry Silks NZ can manually change this. For example, in orders when a rural address has been supplied but the default freight option has been chosen at checkout, the rural freight option will be applied at time of payment.
If swatch only freight has been chosen for a normal order this will also be changed to nationwide/rural freight at time of payment.
What is Silk NZ's return policy?
Unfortunately all our Fabrics are not returnable this is why we highly recommend ordering a swatch before purchase.

I ordered a fabric and it appears defective or has a flaw in it.
What should I do?

Please note that Silk is a Natural fibre that is often woven by hand. Any irregularities add to it's beauty and should not be construed as a flaw. Silks NZ makes every effort to provide its customers with exceptional quality fabric so in the event a fabric or product does arrive damaged or has a flaw, please contact us as soon as the defect is noticed by phone on 03 366 0194 or email us a photo at info@silksnz.co.nz and we'll go from there.

What is Silks NZ's exchange policy?
Exchanges are not accepted. We strongly recommend you order a swatch before you place a fabric order.

Do you ship internationally?
Silks NZ does offer shipping to customers outside NZ using FedEx or NZ Post.
Please note there will be an extra freight charge so please check the "International Shipping" box when checking out. We will contact you with confirmed freight costs.

What size are your swatches?
Our Swatches are 10cm (4") X width of the fabric.

How do I set up a wholesale account with Silks NZ?
You can establish a wholesale account by contacting us at info@silksnz.co.nz, we welcome enqiuries from retail stores, fashion and bridal designers, dress makers, film productions, theatre companies and many more.
Certain terms, conditions and credit criteria may apply.
